Putting the XXX Back in Online Porn

Although it seems to have been a very long time coming, the exclusively adult top-level domain has finally hit the World Wide Web. Officially launching its Sunrise period (accepting applications from trademark owners only) on September 7th, ICM Registry, the company charged with administering the launch of the controversial new url suffix, appear to be on the verge of raking in the cash thanks to yearly fees of $100 to $300 a year. And it’s not just porn companies that will be enjoying the .xxx domains – come December anyone who is willing to pony up the dough can register their very own XXX website, even for something as inoffensive as a Shia LaBeouf fansite.

We’ll have to wait a few months before we see whether or not prominent pornsites migrate to a new XXX domain or remain where they are, sitting quite comfortably on dot coms, dot nets, and (if you can believe it) dot bizs. Is this new XXX domain signaling a sea change that will further separate the adult entertainment industry from its mainstream brother or is it the start of an apparently ever-increasing amalgamation of the two worlds? Only time, and ICM Registry’s annual reports, will tell.

On September 14, Paradox Pictures and Exquisite Films will release one of the most hotly anticipated parody porn titles of the year, American Dad XXX: An Exquisite Films Parody. An explicit adult reinterpretation of Seth MacFarlane’s much-loved animated comedy, American Dad XXX stars Andy San Dimas, Tasha Reign, Yurizan Beltran, Angelina Valentine and, as the Steve Smith, head of this bizarre family unit, legendary porn actor Evan Stone. The response from fans during the build-up to the titles release has been extraordinary, with the entire first print run of the DVD being snatched up by pre-orders. The YouTube trailer alone has been viewed more than 140,000 times, proving that if any parody title has a shot at eclipsing Lee Roy Myers’ A Wet Dream on Elm Street, it’s this parody of a contemporary cartoon classic starring a horny Alien, an agent, an ultra-liberal hippy chick, and a goldfish with the brain of an East German Olympic ski jumper.

Freddy Goes Fingering

Director Lee Roy Myers is back at it again with another nightmarish follow up to The Human Sexipede, his XXX parody of cult horror hit, The Human Centipede. As reported by horror movie site Dread Central, Myers next project parodies one of horror’s most revered icons, Freddy Krueger. A Wet Dream on Elm Street, due for release on September 29 (just in time for Halloween), is a concept Myers is sure will go down marvelously with the parody-loving porn-viewing public, saying “It’ll be funny, sexy, dark and very, very different. This is the porn parody that I always wanted to do…Freddy, with dildos on his fingers!”

A Wet Dream on Elm Street pits a dildo-fingered “Freddy Fingers” (Anthony Rosano) against Jennifer White, Gracie Glam, Charley Chase, Giselle Leon, and Sophie Dee in what promises to be a nation-wide frat-house hit. Teaser images have already started causing a stir on the adult blogosphere with some keyboard-pounders even going so far as to declare 2011 the beginning of a “golden age of porn parodies.”
